Dear Friends of the Palmyra Area Minor Hockey Association,

The Palmyra Area Minor Hockey Association, operating as the “Palmyra Black Knights” or “PBK”, is committed to offering Youth Hockey to as many families as possible.  PBK promotes the ideals and aims of youth travel and in-house hockey, and works collaboratively with USA Hockey and other private and public agencies committed to the youth hockey movement.  PBK strives to provide opportunities to educate and train players, coaches and officials, and instill good sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for others on and off the ice.  Hockey helps build individuals, not just hockey players.  As young athletes and their families consider the many different team sport options, and the various levels at which one may choose to participate, the prospect of playing hockey brings with it substantial cost.  We do not want this to be a deterrent to those committed to playing this wonderful game.

For this reason, PBK has created the PBK Family Fund. The PBK Family Fund is intended to provide a reduced fee to families who otherwise would not be able to participate in our travel hockey program.  In order for this program to succeed, we need your help! We are asking for financial contributions to the Family Fund.  All funds or contributions will go 100% toward the cost of participation in travel hockey for a PBK Family Fund awardee.

This program will be open to all regardless of race, color, handicap, creed, sex and national origin.  PBK has created a uniform process through the oversight of a committee independent of the PBK Board to ensure all applicants are appropriately vetted and have equal opportunity.  Details about the Criteria for qualifying for PBK Family Fund awards are available on the Palmyra Black Knights website.  Please take a few moments to review the program and consider making a gift to assist a local youth athlete achieve their goal of being a Black Knight.
