The Palmyra Black Knights are proud to announce Rob Shearer as the club’s Tier II Travel & House Program Coordinator. Rob will work with PBK Hockey Director Antoine Bergeron to continue developing our ADM compliant youth hockey program. Rob will be a key component in fulfilling our mission of providing the highest level instruction at every level of hockey at PBK. 

This key addition to our program allows Hockey Director Antoine Bergeron to oversee a program designed to meet the needs of Central Pennsylvania athletes, regardless of what level they aspire to reach. Check back for more exciting announcements regarding additions to the PBK Hockey Program in the coming days

A little about Rob... 

Rob was born in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and played 3 seasons with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). While playing with the Windsor Spitfires, Rob signed a free agent contract with the Colorado Avalanche. Rob played 5 seasons with the Hershey Bears, winning the Calder Cup during the 96-97 season.

Shearer played parts of 16 professional seasons in the NHL, AHL, ECHL and Europe. Rob’s highlights during his time in Europe were winning the DEL Championship with Berlin during the 2004-05 season and being selected to the All-Star game while playing in the Erste Bank League in Austria.

After his playing career, Rob was the Hockey Director for the Capital City Vipers for 5 seasons, working with all ages from Mites to Midgets. Rob has run clinics, camps and summer select teams. Rob has completed his USA Director credential and is a level 4 coach. Rob lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife and two kids.
